City of Thomasville to host 9th Annual Black History Month Parade and Celebration

THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The City of Thomasville is preparing to celebrate culture, community, and history with the return of its 9th Annual Black History Month Parade and Celebration.

The event is set for Saturday, February 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Downtown Thomasville.

The parade will kick off at Broad Street and Washington Street, rolling through downtown streets and concluding at Jackson Street and Lee Street. Following the parade, the celebration will continue at The Ritz Amphitheater, featuring an afternoon full of entertainment and family-friendly activities.

Organizers say attendees can expect DJ music, performances from local schools, African dancers and drummers, as well as drumline performances from TCCHS and THS. Food vendors will also be on site, along with additional activities for all ages.

Community members are encouraged to come out and take part in the festivities honoring Black history and heritage.
