City of Albany to reopen in phases

ALBANY, Ga. – The City of Albany starts its three-phase reopening plan today. During phase one, city staff are gradually returning to work.
City manager Sharon Subadan says roughly 25%-30% of employees are back operating in buildings after mostly tele-networking from home since March.
Staff are following CDC guidelines and if all goes well the city plans on reopening city buildings in the next few weeks.
“We’re cautiously optimistic, many of our employees have suffered loss, we’ve lost three of our own so we’re taking this extremely seriously and we don’t want to take any unnecessary risk, employees deserve to feel safe,” says Subadan.
And to help city employees feel safer throughout the reopening phases, the city is asking that people who interact with city employees wear masks and also follow CDC guidelines.
