Chehaw Park and Riverquarium to extend Summer Camps
(ALBANY, GA) – As local school systems continue to push back the start date for the first day of classes, Albany’s parks are offering extensions as well.
Chehaw Park, alongside the Flint Riverquarium are extending their summer camps through Friday August 7th to provide a space for children as the start of school is delayed.
In addition to additional learning through their summer camps, the staff at both sites are able to keep kids safe as they socialize.
“Not just from the hands-on learning aspect, but also from the socialization aspect, they’re getting a chance to be with other campers again in a safe and controlled environment,” says Flint Riverqarium Educational Director, Jackie Entz.
Families with children already signed up will not have to pay for the extra week of camp.
