CBS 44 Weather Authority Forecast: May 24, 2023

Refreshing air mass on the way!

The clouds are finally starting to break across the area as the pesky low pressure system pulls to our south and moves across the FL peninsula. A mixture of sun and clouds Thursday with a refreshing air mass, lower humidity, but still a bit breezy out there. It stays breezy Friday through the weekend as the low pressure system tracks off the southeast U.S. coast. This low pressure system is forecast to remain frontal to keep the chance of any tropical/subtropical development very low. Not a great beach weekend on the east coast! Coastal impacts of minor coastal flooding, rip currents, and dangerous boating conditions possible. Temperatures remain below average with morning lows in the mid-upper 50’s and highs in the mid-upper 70’s! Gradually warming up into Memorial Day itself with humidity creeping back in. Enjoy these nice temperatures now, because we probably won’t see them again until autumn, and I do see 90 degrees in the forecast by next weekend!
