Camilla man arrested on child molestation charges

Mitchell County's Christopher Troendle suspected of child pornography

CAMILLA, GA-  On August 2, 2022, the GBI was requested by the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office to assist with a report of a child molestation and exploitation case.

Agents and Sheriff’s Investigators began conducting interviews with the victim who was 13 years old, and witnesses in the case.

A 37-year-old male was identified during the case who was interviewed as well.

Christopher Troendle was arrested on August 17, 2022, for the offenses of one count child molestation and one count child exploitation regarding computer/electronic pornography.

Troendle resides at a Red Hill Road address in Camilla.

Troendle was booked into the Decatur County Jail on the criminal charges.

This case is active and ongoing.

When complete, it will be provided to the District Attorney for review and prosecution.
