Lee County Landfill accepting live Christmas trees for recycling

LEESBURG, Ga. — In a press release, Lee County officials stated that “Lee County Landfill has multiple sites throughout the County for your live Christmas tree. Please remove the lights, ornaments, and stand from the tree before bringing it. This service is for Lee County residents only, no businesses. Recycling trees creates mulch, wildlife habitats, and is also great for ponds.”
Residents may dispose of trees at one of the following sites below until January 9, 2021:
Century Fire Station #2
934 US Highway 19 South
Look for the sign at the pump house
Redbone Fire Station #5
1289 Grave Springs Road
Sign/site on Philema Road side
Lee County Landfill
759 Highway 32 East
Monday – Saturday 8:00 am – 3:00 pm
