UPDATE: Coroner identifies employee found dead in Travelodge motel room

Cause of death still unknown

CORDELE, GA– The body discovered at the Travelodge hotel in Cordele Tuesday morning has been identified.

Crisp County Coroner Ricky Dawson identifies the deceased as 37-year-old David Andrew Bullington.

Bullington was an employee of the Travelodge and was staying in the room his body was found in.

Prior to his body’s discovery, he had not reported to work for a few days, which prompted entry by a co-worker by breaking a window to get inside.

Bullington lived in Cordele, but was originally from Lake City, Florida.

Owners of the Travelodge have not commented on the incident.

Bullington’s death is still under investigation and a cause has not been determined at this time.

More updates to come when they are received.
