Body found in a wooded area in Albany

ALBANY, GA – Police were called to 11th and Edgewood Drive in Albany at around 5:23 yesterday after a body was found in a wooded area nearby.

Initial investigation revealed the body to be that of Coty Davis, 30. It is suspected at this time that Davis may have been in the location for several days judging by environmental effects on the body. Some of Davis’ belongings were found behind the Reserve Apartment Complex at 1404 Whispering Pine Road.

There are no witnesses at this time. Davis’ body will be sent to the GBI Crime Lab for an autopsy in a bid to determine cause of death.
