Atlanta runner with Cerebal Palsy ready to run Albany Marathon

(ALBANY, GA) — Among the hundreds who will cross the starting line for the Albany Marathon Saturday Bentley Grace Hicks will be running in it for the first time.
For Bentley, who was born with Cerebal Palsy she’s continuing to make her push towards the Boston Marathon, and that journey goes through Albany.
She says, ”It changed my life. I would not be in the position I’m in if it wasn’t for the Kyle Peas Foundation.”
Bentley has been running as part of the Kyle Pease Foundation since 2015, and since November 2018, she and her partner, Chris Nasser have been running marathons together, and training to qualify for Boston.
“I think it’s an exciting opportunity. Bentley-Grace enjoys the opportunity and being able to run and be out there in the group, and I think it would be great to represent the foundation with Bentley-Grace in 2021,” says Nasser.
As Bentley and Chris get set to take their places here at the starting line, the duo want to let those who are like Bentley know that they can do it.
Chris says, “It’s fun to be able to take the sport of running and turn it into a team opportunity. I think there’s a lot of bonding that goes on out there.”
Bentley has some words of wisdom for those who may be nervous about getting out there.
“Go For it!” Says Bentley.
She’ll qualify for Boston if she can complete the Albany Marathon in less than three hours.
