APD’s two fatal overnight traffic accidents
Charges pending in one fatal collision with house; GSP investigate deadly tree impact
ALBANY, GA – Albany Police responded to two fatal accidents overnight, both being single vehicle investigations.
Officers were first called to the 1700 block of Dawson Road around 1:45 am and found a single vehicle, apparently that was heading eastbound when left the roadway, hit a house and spun clockwise.
Police say one of the three passengers inside died and that charges are pending.
Meanwhile, a little more than an hour later officers were directed to the 400 block of N. Jefferson St. where they found another single car mishap.
Police say a single vehicle, heading north on Jefferson Street, left the roadway, hit a tree and spun clockwise.
The front seat passenger was ejected and died. The case has been turned over to the Georgia State Patrol.
Pending notification of family members, names of both deceased will be released later.
