APD: Trio fails in ATM theft attempt
Police say early Sunday morning, officers responded to a criminal damage to property call to Albany's Ameris Bank

ALBANY, GA – Albany Police say they’re looking for the three suspects who tried heisting an automated teller machine over the weekend.
Police say early Sunday morning, officers responded to a criminal damage to property call to the Ameris Bank branch in the 2200 Block of E. Oglethorpe Boulevard.
A witness reported to officers that three males crashed into an Ameris ATM machine, knocking it into the roadway. The witness attempted to contact the suspects; however, they fled the scene in a white 2017 Ford F-150, with the tag number BQ79BE.
Police say the vehicle was reported stolen out of the county.
There was no contact with the suspects at the time officers arrived.
This incident remains under investigation.
There are no known suspects at this time.
