APD searching for suspect involved in Wednesday shooting

ALBANY, Ga. – The Albany Police Department (APD) is searching for a suspect involved in a shooting that happened Wednesday at 4:11 p.m., in the 300 block of Oglethorpe Boulevard, according to APD officials.

Police say a 51-year-old male victim was approached by 26-year old Jacarius Washington who fired multiple shots at the victim.

The victim sustain gunshot wound to the left hand and was transported to the Emergency Room

Washington is currently wanted on outstanding warrants for Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.

Investigators warn, anyone caught aiding Washington will be prosecuted to the fullest.
