APD searches for fleet footed felon
Officers say suspect fired on them as he fled the wreck scene early Sunday morning

ALBANY, GA – Albany Police are looking for a gunman accused of beating up his girlfriend and taking a shot at police officers who were chasing him.
Police say it began early Sunday morning with a robbery by force call to Big Daddy’s Lounge on East Oglethorpe, where a former girlfriend of 28 year old Quintavis Green claimed he punched her several times in the face as he stole her cell phone and car keys.
Green reportedly fled the scene in a 2004 Honda Accord. Later, officers located Green and attempted a traffic stop, but Green fled.
The suspect was eventually located in the 500 Block of Sands Drive where he wrecked the vehicle.
Police say the suspect fled from the driver’s door and fired a shot at officers as they approached the vehicle.
Officers did not return fire and waited until backup arrived on the scene, but Green was not located.
No one was hurt in the incident per APD.
Green has active arrest warrants for Robbery by Force, two counts of Aggravated Assault on a Police Officer, and Fleeing or Attempting to Elude Police Officer.
Green considered is armed and dangerous.
