An extra voting day added for presidential election for Dougherty County residents

ALBANY, Ga. – Albany-Dougherty Election Board set Sunday Oct. 25 as another opportunity to cast your vote for the Nov. 3 presidential election.
While it’s state mandated to have that Saturday Oct. 24 open for voting, the board unanimously approved opening up that Sunday from noon-4 p.m.
“It’s just about giving the voter options, some people’s schedules are different everybody has a different schedule and of course the way we’re living currently things are different for everyone so we want to be as versatile as possible so by adding that day that gives us a weekend for voting,” says Dougherty County Elections Supervisor Ginger Nickerson.
Nickerson says that Elections Office is still “actively seeking volunteers” to work the polls.
