AMA moving Chalkfest online
(ALBANY, GA) – An Albany tradition is making some massive changes for their annual event.
The Albany Museum of Art’s third Annual Chalk-fest will now be held online this year.
Museum Director, Dr Andrew Wulf says that given the current situation regarding COVID-19, the original plan of a downtown display of street art would not be safe, but they are adapting.
Wulf says that they plan to increase the length of Chalkfest and that it will be open to anyone in the community.
“How will it be done virtually? Well, we look forward to getting chalk out to as many young people as possible, that’s the goal at this time. And we’re also looking for ways that the community can step up…,” says Wulf.
Dr Wulf says that this year’s event will not have registration at this time and that they want it to run throughout the month of November.
