Albany’s storm related disruptions

ALBANY, GA – City of Albany officials want to update the community as to the latest developments regarding today’s severe weather threat.

As of 5pm Tuesday, the following locations are seeing traffic light interruptions in the 2400 block of Martin Luther King Drive as well as the Liberty Expressway and Clark Avenue areas.

Flash flooding is also being reported at Liberty Expressway near Blaylock Street, W Oakridge Drive at South Slappey, the 800 block of West Oglethorpe and the 400 block of 11th Avenue.

Albany utility crews are on the scene of a blown transformer in the 2400 block of MLK, which is experiencing a power outage in the immediate area.
