Albany’s fatal mobile home fire

ALBANY, GA – The Albany Fire Department confirms the death of a man, who perished in a Tuesday afternoon mobile home fire.

Officials say the call came in shortly after 1p to the 1000 block of Dunes Avenue, to lot 71 of the mobile home park.

A 24 year old man died in the blaze, South Georgia Television News Reporter Quinlan Parker was told on the scene the deceased has been identified as Christian Jackson.

Jackson is believed to have died by smoke inhalation.

Another person reportedly was able to escape the burning mobile home safely and uninjured.

Fire officials have tentatively determined the fire’s ignition source was unattended food left cooking.
