Albany to host “Kidneys Matter” community health event March 12

ALBANY, Ga. — Community members are invited to learn more about protecting their kidney health at an upcoming educational event in Albany.

The “Kidneys Matter” community event will take place Thursday, March 12, from 10 a.m. to noon at 210 Thornton Drive. The event focuses on raising awareness about kidney health, prevention, and the importance of early detection.

Organizers say the event will feature city officials, nephrologists (kidney specialists), and representatives from LifeLink of Georgia, along with panel discussions designed to help residents better understand kidney disease and ways to protect their health.

Attendees will also have the chance to receive free swag bags while supplies last.

Community leaders say the goal of the event is to encourage residents to learn the signs and risk factors associated with kidney disease and take proactive steps to protect their health.
