Albany Recreation & Parks Department seeking volunteer coaches for youth sports

ALBANY, Ga. – The Albany Recreation & Parks Department is calling on community members to step off the sidelines and into leadership roles as volunteer coaches for local youth sports programs.

The department is currently seeking dedicated volunteers to help coach and mentor student athletes in a variety of sports, including track, football, baseball, basketball, and more.

Organizers say the opportunity goes beyond teaching fundamentals and game strategy. It’s about mentorship, leadership, and helping young people build confidence, discipline, and teamwork skills both on and off the field.

Community members who enjoy working with youth and want to make a positive impact are encouraged to apply.

Applications can be submitted online at this link. For more information, contact the Albany Recreation & Parks Department at 229-430-5222.
