Albany law enforcement holding compliance checks for re-opening businesses

ALBANY, Ga. — Local law enforcement will be making sure that local business owners are up to code as they try to re-open.
Compliance checks by the Albany Police Department, Dougherty County Police Department, and the Dougherty County Sheriff’s Office are being done as the state’s shelter in place order has expired.
They’re making sure that they’re following proper sanitation and social distancing guidelines as restaurants and businesses re-open.
Chief Deputy, Terron Hayes says there’s an easy way to tell when law enforcement will be performing compliance checks.
Chief Hayes tells us, “These individuals will be in uniform, you can identify who they are and what agency they’re with because they should be in marked vehicles and marked units as well to designate which agency they’re working for.”
