Albany fatal moped accident victim identified

48 year old man killed at Tremont Avenue & MLK intersection

ALBANY, GA –  Albany Police have identified the man killed in a fatal moped collision Saturday night.

APD’s Public Information Officer Phyllis Whitley-Banks identifies the deceased as 48 year old Antwan Henderson of Albany.

Police say their initial investigation suggests Henderson was driving a Gator 50 S3 Moped on Tremont Avenue while approaching MLK Jr. Drive and turned into the path of a Nissan Altima, driven by 21 year old  Alyssa Stanley.

Stanley was unhurt in the collision, but Henderson suffer4ed life threatening injuries and later died at an area hospital.

The crash remains under investigation.
