Albany eyesore razed

South Slappey's Mabry Hotel demolished

ALBANY, GA – A longtime budget hotel in the heart of Albany is now no more than piles of rubble and memories.

Friday, demolition crews were back out at the Mabry Hotel on South Slappey, razing what was left of the aging motel.

The property has a long and checkered history of police calls and nefarious activity.

As to what may replace the now razed property is unknown.
