Adel man killed in Lowndes double homicide

GBI agents say they got the call around 1:45 this morning to Lucky's Bar in Remerton

REMERTON, GA – A Cook County man is one of two people shot to death early this morning outside a Lowndes County nightclub.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation identifies the two deceased as 23 year old Sherrod Gore of Adel and 21 year old Jamar Walton of Valdosta.

Autopsies on both are scheduled for Tuesday at the GBI Crime Lab.

GBI Agent Jamy Steinberg says his agency got the call around 1:45am to the parking lot of the CBC Bank, across from Lucky’s Bar in Remerton.

Steinberg says an altercation took place before a single gunman began shooting.

It’s not known whether the gunman knew either of the victims.

Witnesses say there was quite a gathering of people who scattered once the shooting began.

Agents are asking anyone with information in the case to come forward.

No arrests have been made as of now but the case is considered active and ongoing.
