ABAC Rodeo returns to Tifton for Homecoming weekend
TIFTON, Ga. – Rodeo action is returning to Tifton as Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College prepares to host its annual Gee Haw Whoa Back Rodeo during Homecoming weekend.
The two-night event is set for April 10 and April 11 at the ABAC Rodeo Arena. Gates open at 6 p.m., with the rodeo beginning at 7 p.m. each night.
Cowboys and cowgirls from across the Southeast will compete in a variety of events, including bareback riding, saddle-bronc riding, tie-down calf roping, steer wrestling, breakaway roping, barrel racing, and bull riding.
Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for children ages 6 to 17, and free for children 5 and under. A limited VIP seating add-on is available for $10, which includes a drink and event koozie, but must be purchased in addition to a general admission ticket.
Organizers say ABAC students will receive free admission Friday night with a valid student code, while ABAC Alumni Association members can attend free on Saturday with proof of membership.
Friday night’s events will also feature a performance by the Golden Girls, the crowning of Homecoming royalty, and the presentation of the Stallion Cup.
Tickets are sold per night and must be purchased in advance online. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit the event website.
