ABAC Open Horse Show Gallops into Tifton Saturday Morning

TIFTON, Ga. – Mark Your Calendar for Saturday, October 31st! Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC) is having an open horse show for the first time in almost 15 years! The ABAC Horsemens Association, in conjunction with Valdosta State University Equestrian Club and Camp Rock Horse Ministries, is putting on this Open Horse Show to help generate revenue for the ABAC Horseman’s Association.

There will be a silent auction, concession stands, and arts and crafts vendors on site, and a portion of all sales will help fund the ABAC Horsemens Association’s participation in the Camp Rock Open Show Series in March.

This is an all-ages event, and there will be Western and English Classes, Horsemen and Halter Classes, and even a Halloween Costume Class, so even the horses can dress up this year. There is a $10 entry fee per class, and spectator admission is free.

Gates open at 7:00 a.m. and the show starts at 9:00. The ABAC Open Horse Show will take place on campus at ABAC Rodeo Arena, 85 Perimeter Road in Tifton. For more information, call 229-391-4822 or email kcerny@abac.edu.
