A Slight Risk of Severe Thunderstorms is Forecast Today and/or Tonight
Isolated strong gusts and a tornado or two remain possible from across parts of Georgia

A Slight Risk for severe thunderstorms has been issued for areas long and north of Highway 280 in the South GA TV viewing area for the rest of New Year’s Day.
This includes a 5% chance of an isolated tornado and 5% chance of damaging winds.
There is also a Flash Flood Watch from Saturday morning through Saturday evening for Baker, Ben Hill, Berrien, Brooks, Calhoun, Colquitt, Cook, Decatur, Dougherty, Early, Grady, Irwin, Lanier, Lee, Lowndes, Miller, Mitchell, Seminole, Terrell, Thomas, Tift, Turner, Worth counties in the South GA TV viewing area.
3 to 4 inches of rainfall is expected with isolated pockets of up to 6 inches of rainfall possible! Watch for rising water! Never cross a water-covered roadway!
