Free food and hygiene essentials to be distributed

ALBANY, Ga. – First Apostolic Church Inc. will host a community event to distribute much-needed food and daily essentials to families affected by poverty and unemployment due to the COVID-19 crisis.

The curbside pickup distribution is sponsored by Teleperformance and features boxes of food and essentials provided by hunger relief organization Feed the Children. Coming together, they will provide support to 400 families who are struggling to make ends meet.

Each participating family, pre-identified by First Apostolic Church Inc., will receive a 25-pound box of shelf-stable food such as canned vegetables, cereal, peanut butter and mac ‘n cheese; a 15-pound box of essentials with personal-care items such as shampoo, lotion and toothpaste; a box of Avon products and children’s books provided by Disney Worldwide Publishing.

This event will take place at the Albany Civic Center Thursday, July 30, 9:30 a.m.- 10:30 a.m.
