Today’s Weather Authority Forecast: October 6, 2022

BONE DRY:

It’s been 24 days without measurable rainfall in Albany, GA.

Last time the Good Life City received rain was on September 12, 2022 at a measly 0.11″.

The longest stretch ever without any rainfall was 64 days from September 28-November 30, 2016.

The latest U.S. Drought Monitor shows areas of moderate drought in our southwestern counties with abnormally dry conditions elsewhere.

Awesome fall weather for opening weekend of the GA National Fair in Perry!

Cool mornings ends in warm afternoons to ride the rides!

Still cool.

TOMORROW:

Warmer. Above average.

7 DAY FORECAST:

Warming up above average on Friday into the start of the weekend.

Cooler again by the tail end of the weekend into early next week.

Rain-free until possibly Thursday-Friday of next week.

TROPICS:

Potential tropical cyclone # 13 to become a tropical storm in a few days as it moves near the coast of South America over the far southern Caribbean Sea, then towards Central America later this weekend as a hurricane.

NO threat to U.S.
