HURRICANE IAN

NHC: Extremely dangerous category 4 Hurricane Ian makes landfall in southwestern Florida near Cayo Costa at 3:05 pm with maximum sustained winds of 150mph and pressure of 940mb.

Ianlandfall

Ian remains a major hurricane near category 5 intensity.

Ian will cause catastrophic storm surge, winds, and flooding in the FL peninsula soon.

Forecast track has shifted east & this significantly lessens the impact to SWGA.

Chances of Tropical Storm conditions are <20% for most of SWGA.

Winds could occasionally gust up to 40 mph, especially on Friday.

Most will see very little to no rainfall.

2″-4″ of rainfall is a possibility for the eastern counties.

There is no flooding threat in our area.
