Isolated thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening.

Temperatures top the mid-90s. Heat indices as high as 102.

LOOKING AHEAD

The “dog days” of summer are here! The heat stays with us into the weekend.

Heat indices could reach as high as 102-105.

Only a stray isolated afternoon and evening shower or thunderstorm is possible.

Watch for a hazy, milky sky as a layer of Saharan Dust becomes trapped in the lowest levels of the atmosphere.

This could create some picturesque sunrises/sunsets.

Rain chances increase by the middle of next week as August begins.
