CORDELE, Ga. – Here at South Georgia TV we know the school year didn’t end the way students and teachers intended. So, we’re taking a little time each day to celebrate the class of 2020.

At Crisp Academy, Headmaster Tim Hathcock says he doesn’t want his seniors to have a half baked graduation experience.

June 20th, the school is holding a graduation ceremony in their stadium.

“Hopefully in our stadium we can spread people out, compliant with social distancing and all that kind of thing. We figure by the wait in June we’ll be able to do all that kind of stuff,” says Hathcock.

Seniors will be limited by the number of people they’ll be able to bring but they’ll be sent off in a traditional manner.

Probably the most tradition experience they’ve had in quite some time.

Hathcock says his seniors are resilient and the graduating class is coming out of this pandemic stronger.

“They’ve been strong thru the whole thing. They’ve been through a lot; Hurricane Michael and they were born back in 2000 and all that mess happened on 9/11 and so their whole life has been that way and ending their high school career doing this kind of stuff so they should be stronger for it and be better citizens for it.”

Congrats on your graduation Wildcats!
