DCSS to hold virtual graduation for seniors
(ALBANY, GA) – The Dougherty County School System is making sure that its seniors are getting a sendoff regardless of the pandemic.
The school system announced monday that they will be hosting a virtual graduation ceremony later this month for all seniors in the county.
While the school system is going to hold virtual graduation, they’re hoping that they’re able to hold a proper, in-person graduation in the summer months.
DCSS District Communications Manager, J.D. Sumner tells us, “Our goal is to have an in-person graduation as soon as it’s safe to do so. And so we’ve already booked dates in june and july, just to make sure we have the space available.”
The current virtual graduation will still have the respective schools valedictorians speak.
