Slowing down on Yorktown Avenue
Speed reducing table installations complete once cement hardens

ALBANY, GA – Residents who live along Albany’s Yorktown Avenue see progress in the city’s completion of installing new speed tables in their neighborhood, but wonder aloud as to whether they’re properly placed.
South Georgia Television News stopped by the now completed project and found the new speed reducing bumps still cordoned off to traffic, as the cement hardens on the construction.
A few neighbors who spoke to us off camera say they appreciate the city’s efforts, but point to adjoining Lexington Drive as the better candidate for the speed reduction plan.
Three new speed tables were built earlier this week to combat the neighborhood speeding problem after numerous citizen complaints.
