Good Life City firefighters assembled bicycles given to foster children in the Albany area

ALBANY, GA – Members of the Albany Fire Department don’t just spin their wheels aimlessly when not on calls.
Recently, Albany Firefighters assembled bicycles that were given to foster children in the Albany area.
On Friday, March 23, 2022, Albany Fire Department Captain Jason Powell and several firefighters assembled 12 bicycles at their training facility.
Captain Powell said he was approached by Kaley Hart, the Spring into Action fundraiser coordinator, and was asked if his station’s firefighters could assist with putting the bikes together .
Ms. Hart organized the fundraiser along with Bush Animal Clinic to raise monetary donations. The money that was raised was then used to purchase the bicycles for foster children in the Albany area.
According to Ms. Hart, the bikes were delivered on Monday, March 28, 2022, and the recipients were chosen by NECCO Foster Care in Albany.
