(CAMILLA, GA) — A Mitchell County bus driver was finally able to come home after more than a week of battling Coronavirus.

Harold Jenkins spent ten days in intensive care at Phoebe Putney hospital before becoming only the second incubated patient deemed well enough to be discharged last week.

Jenkins and his wife, Silvana talk about his experience in dealing with the virus.

Silvana says, “His chest x-rays showed viral pneumonia. He said ‘we do not know exactly how to treat it’ because all of this with the virus is so new to us. He said, pray.”

“The reason for me sitting here right now, is because of those brave people at phoebe. They’re some smart people. And so i’m just fortunate, and i feel good about that,” says Jenkins.

Jenkins says he hopes to have his strength back soon.
