Boys & Girls Club partnering with local food bank

(ALBANY, GA) — A local food bank is teaming up with the Boys & Girls Club of Albany to help kids fight food insecurity.
Feeding the Valley Food Bank is helping the city’s Boys & Girls Club by setting up a mobile pantry to deliver produce to under-served members of the community throughout the week.
Boys & Girls club CEO Marvin Laster tells us how important it is to make sure that no one goes hungry during this crisis.
Laster says, “In the neighborhood where we’re actually doing this mobile pantry is absolutely a food desert. So we hope that we can bring a little bit of relief to not only that community, but the young people we serve.”
He says they’ve received more than 4,000 pounds of food to hand out this week.
