Baker Schools change meal distribution schedule
(NEWTON, GA) – With Georgia schools pushing the return date for students to April 30th, one rural school is making changes to help feed students.
The Baker County School District announced they will deliver food throughout the week to students.
In a Facebook update, Principal, Boyd Williamson says that delivery will change from daily drops along the school’s bus routes.
Williamson said, “Today, Baker will deliver meals to students by running all buses, three days a week, on their normal bus routes between 11-12. So instead of running every day, we’ll be running three days. Students must pick up all meals at the bus stop as employees will not leave the bus.”
Principal Williamson says students can pick up food from the buses on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
