CORDELE, GA- Better late than never?

Thursday at Cordele’s Community Clubhouse, the local Kiwanis Club cut the cake on the organization’s 100th birthday, but do so knowing they’re one year late to their own party.

“Actually, we turned 100 on January 10th, 2021,” explains past club President and current Secretary David Simmons. “But because of Covid, the celebration was a little delayed.”

Simmons says the Cordele chapter much like others across the country is dedicated to serving and improving the community.

Whether its helping seniors or donated books for students, the Kiwanis Club members say they just want to be a positive impact upon the community, for the next century and beyond!
