Labor shortage hits Albany’s bus lines

Service stoppages needed to comply with Department of Transportation and Federal Transit Administration regulations

ALBANY, GA – Due to driver shortages, effective Saturday, February 26, 2022, Albany Transit will interrupt transportation services for its fixed route operations. 

The Saturday service interruptions will start with the Blue Line from 11:45 am to 12:45 pm. All other routes will shut down from 12:15 to 1:15 pm. The stoppage in service is needed to comply with Department of Transportation and Federal Transit Administration regulations. 

The Saturday service interruption will continue until further notice. Albany Transit asks that the riding public make the necessary adjustments in their trip planning. Furthermore, service interruption during the week could be contingent upon driver availability.
