Ashburn's 26th annual Fire Ant Festival celebration is set to be held March 25th & 26th

ASHBURN, GA – Officials with the Turner County Fire Ant Festival committee reveal this year’s theme as well as associated art, as Ashburn’s annual festival is set to return after a year long hiatus due to Covid-19.
Saturday morning, festival officials released that this year’s theme will be “Dolly Part-Ant” and that “Everyone is welcome… except Jolene”, an obvious reference to the famous song.
The 26th annual celebration is set to be held March 25th & 26th, and may be best known for the wacky, off the wall activities for kids of all ages.
In addition, festival officials wish to highlight the following associated events; such as Fire Ant Bingo set for February 10th.
The county wide “Find the Fire Ant” contest begins March 1st with a $650 prize.
The Kiwanis Club of Ashburn’s Pet Parade in the Park, as well as the Fire Ant Calling Contest, the Fire Ant 5K & 1 mile Fun Run, sponsored by Parker Chevrolet.
