South Georgia School Closures
Out of an abundance of caution some school systems are electing to close due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19)
As of now we know

- Ben Hill County Schools: Closed March 16 – March 27
- Berrien County Schools: Closed March 16 – March 27
- Brooks County Schools: Closed March 16 – March 27
- Colquitt County Schools: Closed March 16 – March 29
- Cook County Schools: Closed March 16 – March 27
- Crisp County Schools: Closed March 16 – 20; they will meet Friday March 20th to assess the situation and decide on rather to close the following week.
- Dougherty County Schools: Closed March 16 – April 6. School officials advised SOUTHGEORGIATV that during this time schools, buses and public areas will be sanitized.
- Irwin County Schools: Closed March 16 – March 27
- Lee County Schools: Closed March 16 – March 27 Schools officials advise schools and buses will be sanitized during the closure
- Lowndes County Schools: Closed March 16 – March 27
- Terrell County Schools: Closed for two weeks beginning Monday for cleaning. Students and staff return March 30th
- Tift County Schools: Closed March 16 – March 27
- Turner County Schools: Closed March 16 – March 27
- Valdosta City Schools: Closed March 16 – March 27
- Worth County Schools: Closed March 16th – March 27th
