United Way looking for volunteers for “Day of Caring”

(ALBANY, GA)- The United Way of Southwest Georgia is gearing up to give back to the community later this week.

The organization is accepting volunteers for their annual Day of Caring event, taking place Friday, March 13th.

Throughout the morning volunteers will be helping out various non-profit organizations by pitching in with some of the labor.

The United Way spoke about how important it is to have a large group of volunteers come together for the day.

United Way Campaign Manager, Michelle Thomas tells us, “It’s important because a lot of non-profit agencies, us included don’t have the labor or necessarily the funds to get some of these projects done. So if we can do the supplies, and somebody provide the labor, we can do a lot more.”
