(LEESBURG, GA)- The Chehaw Park Authority is continuing to make the rounds as they try to secure their legislation for the upcoming year.

Chehaw Executive Director, Tommy Gregors met with the Lee County commission earlier in the week to discuss the park’s next authority member.

Gregors says that they want to work not just with the City of Albany, but Dougherty and Lee County as well.

He says, “They want to make sure that the local governments who have a say in what’s going on down here, have support of efforts that we’re trying to do. It helps that that legislation gets introduced, and that it shows that local support as we carry it forward.”

Gregors says he’ll be meeting with the Dougherty County Commission Monday to talk about the Chehaw Park Authority.
