MOULTRIE, GA – Colquitt County Schools Department of Pre-K and Early Learning recently launched Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library (DPIL) for children in Colquitt County, and it did not take long for Colony Bank to step up to support the new program. The bank has pledged to sponsor 50 children every year for five years. “Colquitt County has experienced unparalleled growth in recent years, and we are well-positioned to continue that trend,” stated Posey. “Education and economic growth are directly correlated, and Colony Bank is committed to doing our part in providing the basic foundational elements to develop the next generation of workforce ready leaders in Colquitt County.”

Each month, the Imagination Library will provide an age-appropriate book for each registered child in Colquitt County, absolutely free to the family. Colony’s donation will cover the cost of the books for 50 children that register for the DPIL program.

Dr. Nick Chastain, Director of the Pre-K and Early Learning program, shared his gratitude for the sponsorship. “I am thankful for the leadership and vision of Mr. Posey and the Colony Bank team. The children he pledged to sponsor will greatly benefit from his forward-thinking philanthropy.”

Improving early childhood literacy with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library creates opportunities for children to thrive and succeed in school, helping their communities grow and prosper.
