Valdosta Fire Department Commemorates 9/11 with VFD 343 Memorial 5K

VALDOSTA, Ga. – Join the Valdosta Fire Department for its 343 Memorial 5K Run as it commemorates the 25th Anniversary of September 11, 2001 by honoring the lives lost, recognizing the courage of our first responders, and supporting an incredible cause.

Registration is $30 dollars (T-shirt included), and only $10 for First Responders and Military in Uniform. Valdosta Fire Department is also selling Limited Edition 25th Anniversary Hooded Sweatshirt: $30 (+ $10 shipping).

Proceeds benefit Valor Service Dogs, providing life-changing service dogs to veterans and first responders. Valor Service Dogs is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization that helps wounded post-9/11 veterans and first responders regain their independence, return to civilian life, and maintain successful partnerships through the training and placing of mobility assistance and PTSD service dogs.

The Valdosta Fire Department’s 343 Memorial 5K Run takes place this Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m., and leaves from 106 South Oak Street in downtown Valdosta. Whether you run, walk, or simply come out to show your support, your participation helps ensure we “Never Forget.”
