IRAN SEEKS US DEAL AMID THREATS, SANCTIONS (930pE)

The US Treasury has begun tightening sanctions against Iran. Washington is also warning of tough new sanctions on countries that do not reduce economic ties with Tehran, but has yet to enforce major penalties. The semi-official Tasnim News Agency, citing an unnamed source, says Iran wants to return to the memorandum signed with Washington in June.
