Add a Little Spice to Your Life on Salsa Wednesdays in Albany

ALBANY, Ga. – Dance classes are back at the AAAC! The Albany Area Arts Council, in partnership with the Sowega Council on Aging, presents a lively and welcoming senior-accessible salsa class that invites participants to engage with dance as both a creative practice and a shared cultural experience. Designed for all experience levels, the class introduces foundational salsa steps at a comfortable pace while encouraging personal expression, musicality, and connection through movement.

Join instructor Autumn Cockrell for a new series Salsa: Movement, Music, and Connection. Honoring Michelle Oaks Maddox, our late dance instructor, participants will explore rhythm, style, and the expressive qualities of salsa while building confidence in their own movement. Alongside its artistic focus, the class also supports balance, coordination, and overall well-being in a fun and supportive environment that fosters both creativity and community.

• Classes are $10 per class, and free to our 60+ dancers!
