HEALTH MINUTE: THIS WOMAN IS TESTING A CANCER VACCINE

An estimated one million Americans are believed to have Lynch syndrome. It’s a genetic disorder that puts a person at extremely high risk of colorectal cancer, and more vulnerable to certain other cancers, as well. But, right now, clinical trials are underway to test a vaccine that could protect these patients from cancer in the future. In today’s Health Minute, Mandy Gaither talks to one of the people who rolled up her sleeve, hoping the shot helps her and her children avoid diseases that have killed other family members.
