Iranian FM meets with Chinese counterpart to discuss “regional and international developments”

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met with China’s top diplomat in Beijing Wednesday, Chinese state media outlet Xinhua reported. Araghchi and Chinese Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi were set to “discuss bilateral relations as well as regional and international developments,” according to an earlier statement from the Iranian Foreign Ministry said. Araghchi has been conducting a diplomatic tour in recent weeks to rally international support and resolve the ongoing conflict with the US and Israel. CNN’s Beijing Bureau Chief Steven Jiang has more.
