Bondi’s ouster sparks debate on DOJ’s independence

Sources tell CNN that before firing Attorney General Pam Bondi, President Donald Trump had grown frustrated with her partly because she hadn’t investigated or prosecuted enough of his political opponents. While MAGA blames the previous administration for starting “lawfare” into Trump, CNN Senior Legal Analyst Elie Honig says that still wouldn’t justify the investigations the president is calling for.
